Helped develop the program that enabled the first patient-mediated EHR sharing for clinic research in partnership with Harvard
Received a $200M grant from the NIH to lead the Participant Center for the largest, most diverse research cohort which enrolled over 800K participants, half from underrepresented communities
Scripps Digital Trials Center launched DTC to advance decentralized and remote digital trials, partnering with dozens of organizations across the globe
Co-authored the widely praised industry digital handbook on the use of wearables and sensors in clinical research, now a key resource within DiMe.
Enrolled 40,000 people nationwide with wearable devices to develop the first AI/ML algorithms for COVID predication published in Nature Medicine. Partners included Johnson & Johnson, Rockefeller Foundation and Fitbit and research was covered in the New York Times and The Economist
Nationwide launch of a Pregnancy Research Study collecting multi-modal data from pregnant women across the country with support from Microsoft, WebMD, Philips, BCBSA, March of Dimes, Walgreens, Google, and the McGovern Foundation
Industry-wide Presence
Partnered with Scripps Health to launch study with real-time return of health data examining the correlation between sleep and cognitive decline in women 55+
Multi-modal Metabolic Health Study
Conducted the PROGRESS Study—the most robust remote, digital trial to date in metabolic health, sponsored by Tempus and Dexcom. The study collected deep, real-world multimodal data, including remote biosample collection, and led to the development of predictive algorithms for improved risk profiling in pre-diabetics.
