Generational Science & Discovery health research focused on women of all ethnicities and geographical locations lead by Katie Baca-Motes and Edward Ramos who specialize in fast, impactful and innovative research in the healthcare sector

Women’s health has waited long enough. It’s time for research that moves faster, reaches further, and delivers real impact.

Who We Are

GSD (Generational Science & Discovery) Health Research is a NextGen CRO built on more than a decade of innovation and leadership at the Scripps Research Digital Trials Center. We exist to fundamentally change how women’s health research is designed, executed, and translated into impact.

Despite advances in medicine, clinical research still leaves too many unanswered questions about women’s health. While reproductive health is a critical part of the equation, it is only one piece of a much larger picture. Conditions such as chronic diseases, autoimmune disorders, cardiovascular health, pain management, and menopause remain significantly under-researched—limiting progress in both prevention and treatment.

Traditional trial designs, fragmented data sources, and limited participant representation have slowed progress across all areas of women’s health—leading to delayed diagnoses, ineffective treatments, and missed opportunities for innovation.

By combining real-world data, digital-first trial strategies, and a focus on participant-centered research, we ensure that breakthroughs in women’s health translate into real-world impact—delivering faster, more effective solutions to those who need them most.

Our Vision

We don’t just need more clinical research—we need better clinical research.

The future of health research must be more robust, more inclusive, and more actionable. Our vision is to ensure that:

  • Women’s health research is prioritized across the full lifespan—from reproductive health to chronic disease, aging, and beyond.

  • Clinical trials are designed to be inclusive, accessible, and reflective of real-world populations.

  • Research moves faster, smarter, and with the kind of impact that drives meaningful change.

Regulatory agencies and policymakers are pushing for more inclusive clinical trials and sex-specific research—but real change requires more than compliance. It takes infrastructure, innovation, and strategic collaboration.

With GSD Health Research, we’re building the foundation for a future where women’s health is no longer an afterthought—but a central priority in clinical research and medical innovation.
